Hmmm. I was all set for a quick and relatively easy Chicago victory in the Stanley Cup Final, and then Tampa Bay had to go and find some guts and fight through to a Game 2 win. Now I think we’re looking at a long series, maybe the full seven. I still think the Blackhawks come out on top, but it’s not a shoo-in any more.
And no, I don’t see the potential loss of Bishop as dooming the Lightning. It seems to me that when they’ve been good this postseason, Tampa Bay has played rock solid defense, so much so that who was playing goal didn’t really matter. As long as they stay true in their half of the ice, they can hang with Chicago.
