We’ve been having an awful drought out here in California lately, and it just got worse–because about half the water in the world is flowing through the NHL commissioner’s office right now, in the form of Gary Bettman’s tears. Old Ratface just learned he’s not going to get the New York vs Chicago Finals he’s been dreaming about. So it goes. Make no mistake though: the better team won tonight. The Lightning just stifled the Rangers. Bishop will get the credit for the shutout, but he didn’t really have to make many great saves; New York simply didn’t get much pressure against him all game. Weak offense or great defense: either way, the rangers never had much of a chance. On to Anaheim tomorrow night.
