OK, I’ll bite: why do they have officials working the NBA All-Star Game? It’s not like they’re going to have to adjudicate between a Flagrant 1 or a Flagrant 2.
Which may be the problem with this game. As with other All-Star Games these days, the NBA’s mid-season feature displays long stretches of bad basketball, interspersed with the occasional exceptional individual effort. That seems like an odd recipe for selling your sport. But everyone seems to like it, so there it is. Your mileage may vary.
